Mission

Our mission is to revitalize and reopen our long-standing community hub as a vibrant, inclusive, and accessible space that serves the evolving needs of Southgate Township. Through essential renovations, we will transform this historic Town Hall
into a welcoming, community-run centre where residents of all ages and backgrounds can gather, create, and connect. We are committed to expanding opportunities for rural residents—including youth, newcomers to Canada, families, and seniors—to organize and participate in the arts, workshops of all kinds, cultural programming, and local events. With limited public transportation and few shared public spaces, social and geographic isolation have become pressing challenges, particularly as our population continues to grow. Our renewed hub will directly address these challenges by fostering belonging, creativity, and collaboration.

It will start with Phase One – reopening the ground floor for community use and will then lead into Phase Two – reopening the theatre for full occupancy of the building.
